Graphic Designer - Contract

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled photo editor and graphic designer to contribute to both print and web publications. The successful candidate will work closely with editors and photographers to select, edit, and position images that enhance written content and engage audiences. The position requires a keen eye for detail, strong creative judgment, and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in ensuring that visual content aligns with editorial standards and project objectives. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with editors and photographers to determine the best images for publication
• Edit, retouch, and enhance photos for both print and digital platforms
• Ensure all images meet publication quality standards and deadlines
• Position and format photos to complement accompanying text and layouts
• Coordinate photo assignments and manage workflow to ensure timely delivery
• Maintain organized archives of edited and original images
• Communicate effectively with team members to understand project requirements and creative direction

Skills And Requirements

• Proven experience in photo editing and graphic design for print and web
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and InDesign
• Strong visual storytelling and layout skills
• Excellent attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working with editorial teams is highly desirable
• Availability for urgent assignments and flexible scheduling
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Photography, or related field preferred
