Social Media Manager – Freelance

This role focuses on creating and managing engaging social media content for two international Bachata dance festivals in Belgium. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a cohesive content strategy, producing visually appealing posts, and overseeing all aspects of social media marketing to boost event visibility and engagement. The position requires a creative professional with a strong understanding of digital marketing, video, animation, and graphic design, who can deliver consistent, high-quality content across multiple platforms. This freelance opportunity may lead to further collaboration following the initial project. Deliverables

• Develop and execute a comprehensive social media content plan for both festivals.
• Create and schedule regular posts, stories, and promotional materials across key platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
• Design graphics, edit videos, and produce animations tailored to the dance festival audience.
• Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and foster an active online community.
• Analyze performance metrics and adjust strategies to maximize reach and impact.
• Collaborate with event organizers to ensure content aligns with festival branding and objectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing.
• Proficiency with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and video editing software.
• Strong skills in animation and visual storytelling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English; knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with event promotion and audience engagement strategies.
• Availability to manage content before, during, and after the festival dates.
