Web Designer

This role involves updating and renovating an established company website using Wix, with a focus on modernizing the design and improving mobile responsiveness. The project requires transforming an outdated site into a visually appealing, easy-to-navigate platform that reflects the company’s growth and enables straightforward internal updates in the future. The ideal candidate will have experience working with small businesses and a strong understanding of user experience best practices for both desktop and mobile visitors. Deliverables

• Redesign and rebuild the existing website on the Wix platform
• Ensure the new site is fully responsive and optimized for mobile devices
• Implement a modern, visually engaging layout that aligns with the company’s brand identity
• Integrate Google Business Profile features as needed
• Set up user-friendly content management for ongoing internal updates
• Migrate existing content and assets to the new site
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure functionality across browsers and devices

Requirements

• Proven experience designing and building websites using Wix
• Strong portfolio demonstrating modern, responsive web design
• Proficiency in UX/UI principles and mobile-first design
• Ability to translate business needs into effective web solutions
• Familiarity with integrating Google Business Profile and related features
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Availability for a single project with a defined scope and timeline
• Based in or able to work with clients in South Africa (preferred but not required)
