Conversation Designer, AI Chatbot

Your favorite vacation-rental marketplace is on a mission to create more empathetic, accurate, and inclusive AI experiences, and we need an expert communicator to help set the tone. Team up with our AI product team and impact millions of users by creating high-quality training content that solves real customer issues. We're seeking an experienced conversation designer with an ear for tone, the instinct to logically solve support problems, and a history of crafting quality conversations and flows.

The details:

• 11-month contract (1099, fully remote)
• 40 hours per week
• Starts June 2025

What You’ll Do:

• Create pitch-perfect benchmark content for generative AI experiences, ensuring content clarity, usability, and brand alignment
• Review help center articles, agent knowledge, support transcripts, and policy resources to identify the ideal solution for a given contact reason
• Collaborate with engineering, product and knowledge teams to design experiences that enable users to self-solve for top contact reasons
• Support UX Writing and Engineering teams to revise guidelines and evaluate responses

We’re Looking for Someone with:

• 4-7 years experience in designing conversational experiences for chatbots, IVR, or virtual assistants, preferably with some experience integrating AI and LLMs
• Knowledge of dialogue management, user-centered design principles, and conversational UI/UX best practices
• Strong logical problem-solving skills to optimize and refine conversational models
• Bulletproof writing and editing skills
• Portfolio of content and conversation design projects
