Web Designer

Location: Remote (U.S.), LA Preferred

Type: Full-Time Preferred (open to freelance/contract)

Compensation: $55,000 - $75,000 DOE

We’re looking for a Junior–Mid Web Level Designer to support website design and digital experiences across a range of client projects, primarily within Shopify and CMS-driven environments. You’ll work closely with our designers, developers, and project managers to create thoughtful, functional, and visually strong web experiences in Figma for brands in beauty, wellness, lifestyle, and fashion, among others.

This role is ideal for a designer with previous experience(s) at an agency or brand and with a solid foundation in web design who’s eager to deepen their understanding of UX/UI, responsive design, and ecommerce while contributing meaningfully to real client work.

What You'll Be DoingWeb & UI Design

• Design page layouts, templates, and UI components in Figma
• Support full website builds, redesigns, and iterative updates
• Design with responsiveness and usability in mind (desktop-first, mobile-aware)
• Translate brand systems into flexible, scalable web experiences
• Refine typography, spacing, hierarchy, and visual flow

Ecommerce & CMS Design Support

• Design for Shopify-based sites, including PDPs, collection pages, navigation, and CMS-driven content
• Collaborate with devs to ensure designs are feasible, clear, and build-ready
• Consider content structure, modularity, and scalability in your designs
• Support ongoing site optimizations and refinements post-launch

Workflow, Feedback & Collaboration

• Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback efficiently
• Prepare clean, organized Figma files for handoff to development
• Collaborate cross-functionally with PMs, strategists, and developers
• Support agency workflows and timelines across multiple projects

What We're Looking ForGeneral

• Maintain high standards for design quality and attention to detail

• 1–3 years of professional experience in web or digital design
• Strong working knowledge of Figma
• Solid understanding of layout, typography, color, and visual hierarchy
• Familiarity with responsive design and UX best practices
• Experience designing websites and digital interfaces (agency experience a plus)
• Comfortable taking direction, feedback, and iterating quickly
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Clear communicator who enjoys collaborative work

Bonus:

• Experience designing for Shopify or ecommerce brands
• Familiarity with accessibility considerations for web design
• Basic understanding of how designs translate to front-end development
• Familiarity with Asana, Slack, Google Workspace
• Interest in beauty, wellness, lifestyle or fashion brands
