About The Role
We are seeking a talented UX Designer specialized in Scripting to join Bayer Crop Science's digital farming division. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing user-centric, intuitive, and visually compelling digital experiences that support our farmers and advisors. Your primary focus will be on creating engaging scripting interfaces that enable users to optimize planting and crop protection strategies effectively. This position offers flexibility for candidates based in St. Louis, Chicago, or remote within the Midwest, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative agricultural technology solutions that have a real-world impact.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design approach and key projects/products
- 3-5 years of professional experience as a UI/UX Designer
- Experience designing interactions for web and mobile platforms
- Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools
- Solid understanding of responsive design principles and best practices
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments
- Self-managed with strong attention to detail
- High curiosity and eagerness to learn new skills and industry trends
Preferred qualifications include experience working within agile development teams, familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, knowledge of accessibility standards, and experience with data visualization, geospatial, and mapping design. A background or interest in the agriculture industry is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand user needs and project objectives
- Design user-friendly, visually appealing experiences for web and mobile applications
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas and interactions
- Work with UX Research teams to test and validate design concepts through usability testing
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback, testing outcomes, and stakeholder input
- Stay updated on industry trends, UX best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design quality
- Provide guidance, feedback, and mentorship to team members regarding design standards and best practices
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems, patterns, and standards to ensure consistency across products
- Make informed decisions considering project constraints, outcomes, risks, and deadlines
- Manage multiple projects efficiently, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality work within set timelines
