About The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Web Application Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will focus primarily on developing high-quality, user-friendly front-end interfaces for our sophisticated scheduling software, utilizing the Blazor .NET framework and DevExpress UI components. Your work will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining responsive UI elements, including grids, forms, and complex data visualization components such as Bryntum Gantt charts. While the primary emphasis is on front-end development, you will also collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and support overall application functionality. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating intuitive user experiences, has a strong command of .NET web technologies, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment to solve complex scheduling challenges. You will report directly to the Engineering and Delivery Manager, working closely with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into innovative solutions that meet our high standards of performance and usability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with .NET web technologies, focusing on front-end development
• Proficiency in Blazor development (Blazor Server and/or Blazor WebAssembly)
• Experience working with complex UI components, especially grids and data visualization tools
• Strong understanding of C# and .NET web libraries
• Solid skills in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience with client-side state management and component-based architecture
• Proven ability to develop responsive web designs compatible across various devices and browsers
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of web navigation and design patterns
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively

Nice To Have Qualifications

• Experience with AI-powered development tools like GitHub Copilot
• Background in manufacturing or scheduling software domains
• Experience with Bryntum Gantt charts or similar scheduling/charting components
• Knowledge of other JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Understanding of UI/UX design principles
• Experience with Azure cloud services (e.g., Azure App Services, Azure Functions)
• Familiarity with database technologies like SQL Server
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy responsive and engaging user interfaces using Blazor, DevExpress UI components, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Implement and maintain complex UI components, including data grids, forms, and interactive visualizations, ensuring optimal performance and usability
• Work with specialized components such as Bryntum Gantt charts to visualize scheduling data effectively
• Collaborate with product management and the web/cloud team to translate mockups and requirements into functional web features
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless front-end and back-end communication
• Support backend development tasks using C# and .NET to enhance overall application functionality
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and share knowledge within the team
• Troubleshoot and resolve front-end defects, performance issues, and UI bugs
• Stay current with the latest advancements in Blazor, .NET, DevExpress tools, and front-end technologies
