We’re looking for an experienced and creative Web Designer to join our fully remote team to work on a variety of projects for our clients across the globe.

Overview

Wunderdogs is an independent creative agency based in San Francisco, California with a growing distributed team across the U.S., Canada and Europe. We provide beginning-to-end design, production and strategy services to forward-thinking brands in the technology space, from startups to established companies.

Websites form a core part of our business therefore a passion for and extensive experience in web design is a must. Our ideal candidate will have a strong visual sense, an analytical mind, a good eye for detail and the portfolio to back it up.

We’re looking for someone who does not shy away from a challenge and is comfortable working to tight deadlines when required. You will be joining us during an exciting time and will be working on multiple projects simultaneously, often for different clients. Your key day-to-day responsibilities will include

  • Conceptualizing creative ideas with clients
  • Testing and improving the design of the website
  • Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices
  • Maintaining the appearance of websites by enforcing content standards
  • Designing visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding for clients.
  • Effectively communicate your designs to developers and other key stakeholders
  • Address product, marketing and business needs
  • Conduct industry research and stay up-to-date on best practices, competitor UI designs and emerging technologies
  • Facilitate web workshops for our clients
  • Create lo-fi wireframes and high-fidelity designs in Figma
  • Develop design systems, design websites using brand guidelines
  • Communicate with clients and attend client meetings
  • Collaborate with developers to design new and intuitive user experiences
  • Interact with our development and management teams to collaborate on pitches and strategies

The Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of design industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or similar field and a strong portfolio of digital projects
  • Fluent across the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
  • Understanding of design systems and how to create them
  • Understanding of Figma and how to use it
  • Great communication skills: whether it’s talking through your work with the team or speaking with clients, you’ll need to be able to get your point across and empathize with those of others
  • Experience creating products with complex user flows and high-quality UI design is a plus
  • Experience running stakeholder workshops with clients
  • Ability to work at least 3-4 business hours in Pacific Standard Time
  • Self-motivation in a remote professional environment and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Sharp attention to detail within a fast-paced work environment
