Discover the Enchanting Martha’s Vineyard Retreat Designed for Memorable Gatherings

A Playful Design for Lasting Memories
Chef Chris Willis and his wife Pam envisioned a fun and inviting vacation home on Martha’s Vineyard that felt lived-in from the start. They collaborated with a talented team led by Mother Studio and Maryann Thompson Architects to create this unique abode.
Collaborative Creativity
The Willises, known for their popular restaurant Pammy’s in Cambridge, Massachusetts, assembled a group of creative professionals who embraced their vision. Interior designer Karie Reinertson noted the homeowners' collaborative spirit, stating, "They have a lot to say... it was really fun to have them trust us."
Innovative Layout
Architect Maryann Thompson designed the home with a distinctive “pinwheel” layout, maximizing views and creating outdoor spaces between its arms, effectively blending the indoors with the stunning landscape.
Entertaining at Suppertime
Nestled between the ocean and the existing family home, the new property, affectionately dubbed Suppertime, is ideal for entertaining. The dining room features a giant Nickey Kehoe table that can accommodate up to 20 guests, with pendant lights designed to lift away for larger gatherings. The space is described as flexible and alive, allowing guests to spill out into the beautiful grounds.
A Home for Celebration
With a piano in the dining room and an emphasis on hosting, the home reflects the Willises' love for entertaining. Their daughters often play music for their guests, enhancing the atmosphere of joy and togetherness. The enchanting landscape designed by Michael Van Valkenburgh creates a permeable space, inviting guests to enjoy both the indoors and outdoors.
