Transforming Architectural Planning

Israeli startup qbiq has successfully raised $16 million in a Series A funding round led by Insight Partners, with participation from JLL Spark, 10D, Ocean Azul, Random Forest, and M-Fund's Lior Elkan. Founded in 2019 by Leeor Solnik, Elad Kaminer, Noam Diamantstein, and Roey Granot, qbiq aims to address one of the major pain points in real estate: the inefficiency of traditional architectural planning that often results in delays and extended deal cycles.
The Challenge in Architectural Work
For decades, creating architectural layouts has been a slow, manual process, often relying on tools like AutoCAD. Architects face the challenge of solving intricate design problems line by line, and even after layouts are finished, interpretation can be difficult for those without a design background. Traditional visualizations—such as rendered tours—are costly and time-consuming, making them impractical for many projects.
Qbiq's Innovative Solution
Qbiq has developed one of the first Architectural AI platforms that allows various stakeholders, including brokers, landlords, architects, general contractors, and tenants, to easily visualize the potential of any space in just minutes. This platform enables users to create a variety of architectural outputs—including:
- Architectural programs
- Programmatic or conceptual layouts
- High-resolution rendered tours and images
- Quantity takeoffs and CAD/Revit models
Noteworthy clients such as Brookfield Properties, JLL, Skanska, and IWG have already leveraged this technology to generate over 400 million square feet of architectural layouts and visualizations in mere hours, significantly reducing the time typically required for such work.
Future Aspirations
Leeor Solnik, CEO and Co-Founder of qbiq, expressed optimism about the company's trajectory: “When we officially launched in 2023, I discussed reaching 100 million square feet delivered to clients as a KPI. By 2024, we had already quadrupled that goal and are now moving towards the 1 billion square foot mark.” The partnership with Insight Partners is seen as a significant milestone for qbiq, facilitating its global expansion and aiming for a transformative impact on the industry.
Liad Agmon, Managing Director at Insight Partners, will join qbiq's board of directors as part of this investment.
