A Blend of Artistry and Functionality
The Anticline stovetop espresso maker by Cultivation Objects embodies the principle that form follows function, drawing inspiration from the anticline geological formation. This unique design mirrors the undulating layers of rock created by tectonic movements, paralleling the rise and fall of water transforming into coffee.
Nathaniel Wojtalik, the founder of Cultivation Objects, shares that the design was influenced by the geological folds in the landscape near his father's home, where they enjoyed many coffee moments together in the mountains.
Crafted from recycled aluminium and featuring handles made from ebonised cherry sourced from storm-fallen trees in upstate New York, the Anticline has earned the Wallpaper Design Award 2025* for its stunning sculptural form. This piece not only serves as a functional coffee maker but also adds a touch of artistry to your morning routine.
A Conversation Starter
Perfect for entertaining guests at breakfast, the Anticline is sure to spark conversations—though we might prefer to enjoy its contents in peace first.
Available in a limited edition of 200 for £534/$650, you can find the Anticline on Cultivation Objects. For more design inspiration, check out the February 2025 issue of Wallpaper*, available on newsstands and the Wallpaper* app.
