The Glass Bar at CASACOR Minas 2024
Completed in 2024 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, the Glass Bar designed by Balsa Arquitetura reflects the concept of CASACOR Minas 2024. This project emphasizes respect and preservation of existing features, pigments, and layers of the property.
Design Elements
The design merges old and new, creating a contrast between textures and materials while exploring opacities, reflections, and transparencies.
The bar counter features large stone slabs topped with glass sheets, enhancing the interplay of layering and light. The functional bar shelf is entirely made of glass, showcasing a glass-over-glass concept that offers a new perspective on this material.
Comfort and Art
The lower lounge is designed for comfort, featuring artwork by Vitor Mizael that adds a vibrant color palette to the space, which is reflected in the furniture finishes.
