Job Posting: Freelance Home Textile Designer for Australian Market

We are seeking a talented and passionate Freelance Home Textile Designer to join our network and collaborate on exciting projects for the Australian market. This is a remote, project-based position ideal for a creative individual with a strong understanding of homeware trends specific to Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for creating original and commercial designs for various home textile products. You will work independently, managing the design process from initial concept to final production-ready artwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research market trends, colors, and patterns relevant to the Australian home textile industry.
• Create original prints, patterns, and designs for products such as bedding, cushions, towels, table linens, and curtains.
• Prepare detailed technical sheets and production-ready artwork files.
• Collaborate with our team or clients to understand briefs and provide creative concepts.
• Adapt designs based on feedback and ensure they meet technical specifications for manufacturing.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Home Textile Designer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing original work.
• Excellent proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are essential).
• In-depth knowledge of fabrics, printing techniques, and home textile product construction.
• A keen eye for color, composition, and detail, with an understanding of the Australian aesthetic and lifestyle.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
• Based in or highly familiar with the Australian market is a significant advantage.
