Cloud Consultant (Azure) - Contract

• Paying up to $1000 per day

We're partnering with an established Australian organisation in the health sector that is embarking on a major cloud transformation. This is an opportunity to play a key role in building a modern Azure environment that will power a new customer-facing mobile application and web portal.

You'll be involved from the ground up, helping shape the technical architecture, making key design decisions, and delivering a secure, scalable Azure platform.

What you'll be working on

• Designing, building and maintaining Azure infrastructure across networking, compute, storage and identity
• Building a greenfield Azure environment to support digital products
• Leading Azure migration and modernisation initiatives
• Developing Infrastructure as Code and automation to improve consistency and deployment efficiency
• Implementing Azure security best practices including Entra ID, Conditional Access, RBAC and Defender for Cloud
• Collaborating with architecture and technology leaders on cloud strategy and implementation

What we're looking for

• Proven experience designing and implementing Azure infrastructure in enterprise environments
• Experience delivering cloud platforms for customer-facing applications such as mobile apps or web portals
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking, identity, security and governance
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep preferred)
• Experience implementing Azure security controls including Entra ID, Conditional Access and Defender for Cloud
• Comfortable contributing to technical design sessions and making architectural decisions
• Around 3-5+ years of Azure consulting or cloud engineering experience
