Their commitment to innovation and quality has positioned them as a leader in the technology sector, supporting clients across various industries with tailored digital strategies and robust backend systems. About The Role Infused Solutions Ltd is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Python Developer to join their engineering team on a rolling 3-month contract basis. This fully remote position is exclusively open to UK-based professionals and offers an excellent opportunity to work on impactful projects within a fast-paced, agile environment. As a Senior Backend Python Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations that form the backbone of critical business applications. You will collaborate closely with architects, product teams, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality, efficient solutions that meet evolving business needs. The role demands a strong understanding of modern backend development principles, cloud-native architectures, and API design, enabling you to contribute significantly to the company's technological growth and innovation initiatives. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess extensive commercial experience in backend development using Python, with a proven track record of building scalable APIs and distributed systems. A solid understanding of software engineering best practices, design patterns, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL is essential. Candidates should have experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, as well as familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker. Proficiency with version control systems like Git, along with a good grasp of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks, is required. Additionally, candidates should have experience working within Agile environments, demonstrating strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities. Desirable qualifications include experience with frameworks like FastAPI, Django, or Flask, and exposure to event-driven architectures, messaging technologies, and infrastructure-as-code practices. Knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, or Large Language Models (LLMs) will be considered a significant advantage. Responsibilities Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications and services using Python. You will build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring they are robust, efficient, and secure. Developing integrations between internal systems and third-party platforms will be a key aspect of your role. Writing clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code is essential, along with participating in technical design discussions and architectural decision-making processes. You will troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues to ensure system stability and performance. Supporting CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows will be part of your contribution to the development lifecycle. Collaboration with product, engineering, and DevOps teams will be vital to delivering high-quality solutions that meet business objectives. Additionally, you will perform code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to ongoing improvements in system performance, scalability, and security. Benefits Joining Infused Solutions Ltd offers a competitive daily rate of £300, along with the flexibility of fully remote working. The position is outside IR35, providing contractors with greater tax efficiency. The contract is initially for three months, with a high likelihood of extension based on project requirements and performance. You will have the opportunity to work on modern, scalable systems using the latest technologies, gaining valuable experience in a forward-thinking environment. The company fosters a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and professional development, enabling you to enhance your skills and expertise. Immediate interview and onboarding processes ensure a swift start, allowing you to contribute to exciting projects promptly.
