Graphic Designer – AI Career Evaluator

About The Role What if your experience navigating the creative industry could directly improve how AI coaches the next wave of design professionals? We're looking for experienced Graphic Designers in Chicago to evaluate and improve AI-generated career guidance — helping ensure the advice AI delivers is grounded in real-world design practice. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No AI background required — just genuine expertise in graphic design and the ability to communicate what great career guidance looks like.

What You'll Do

• Review career-related questions from graphic designers and visual creatives at various career stages
• Write high-quality "golden answers" that reflect expert-level career guidance within the design profession
• Build objective evaluation rubrics to assess the quality of AI-generated career advice
• Flag inaccurate, unrealistic, or incomplete recommendations produced by AI systems
• Bring your real-world industry knowledge to improve AI career coaching capabilities
• Work independently and asynchronously — entirely on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Professional experience as a Graphic Designer, Visual Designer, Brand Designer, or similar creative role
• Strong understanding of creative career development, portfolio strategy, and how design hiring works
• Experience giving design feedback, reviewing portfolios, or mentoring creatives
• Clear and effective written communicator who can translate expertise into practical guidance
• Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable meeting quality expectations independently
• No prior AI or technology experience required

Nice to Have

• A strong portfolio across brand, digital, environmental, or print design
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or other industry-standard tools
• Agency or in-house studio experience in the Chicago market
• Art direction or creative leadership background
• Familiarity with the Midwest creative and design industry landscape
