We're looking for Image Description Specialists to write rich, accurate descriptions of images that help AI systems learn to interpret and make sense of what they see — from everyday photographs to complex diagrams and illustrations. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with strong observational skills and the ability to communicate clearly in writing. No photography, art, or technical background required — just a sharp eye and a commitment to quality.

What You'll Do

• Write detailed, structured descriptions of images spanning a wide range of types — including photos, illustrations, diagrams, charts, and more
• Identify and label key visual elements such as objects, people, scenes, actions, and spatial relationships
• Follow clear annotation guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy across large image sets
• Capture both broad context and fine-grained detail in every description
• Work independently on task-based assignments at your own pace and schedule

Who You Are

• Naturally observant — you notice what others miss and can articulate it clearly
• Strong descriptive writing skills in English
• Detail-oriented and consistent when working through large volumes of tasks
• Comfortable with repetitive, structured work while maintaining high quality standards
• Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
• No prior AI, art, or photography experience required

Nice to Have

• Background in writing, editing, photography, graphic design, or visual arts
• Experience with data annotation, content tagging, or image captioning
• Familiarity with AI tools or image recognition platforms as an end user
