We're working with one of the UK's leading digital transformation consultancies to find a talented User Researcher to join their growing Experience Design team.
This is an opportunity to work on large-scale digital transformation programmes that genuinely improve public services, helping to design products and services used by millions of people across the UK.
You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Service Designers, Product Managers, Delivery Managers, Business Analysts, Designers and Engineers, ensuring user needs remain at the heart of every decision.

What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and deliver user research across the full product lifecycle, from Discovery through to Live.
- Plan and execute qualitative and quantitative research activities.
- Design research plans, discussion guides and recruitment strategies.
- Conduct user interviews, usability testing and other research activities to uncover meaningful insights.
- Analyse and synthesise research findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Present research outcomes to stakeholders and influence product and service decisions.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary Agile teams to ensure user needs shape product development.
- Champion user-centred design principles and help organisations build better digital services.
- Contribute to research strategies that align with wider programme objectives.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who has:
- Strong commercial experience as a User Researcher within UK Public Sector organisations.
- Excellent knowledge of GDS Service Standards and Government Digital Service ways of working.
- Strong experience delivering qualitative research methods.
- Good understanding of quantitative research techniques.
- Experience writing research plans and managing research activities.
- Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills.
- Experience producing clear reports and translating research into actionable recommendations.
- Experience working within Agile multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- A genuine passion for user-centred design and improving digital services.
Desirable Experience
- Service Design or wider User-Centred Design experience.
- Information Architecture or Interaction Design knowledge.
- Experience working within a digital consultancy or agency environment.
- Active involvement within the User Research or UX community.
