SolidWorks Drafter

Employment Type: 12+ month contract

Job Site: Remote, United States

Pay Rate Range: $52-$85/hour, depending on experience and location.

SHIFT: Day

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Our advanced nuclear client is seeking a SolidWorks Drafter to join their team. In this role, you will be creating structural and mechanical design solutions, 3D CAD models, and engineering drawings for conceptual and preliminary design development for reactor structures.
• Develop and maintain complex mechanical designs using SolidWorks.
• Use model configurations to support analysis needs.
• Document design process, changes, and decisions.
• Create engineering drawings per ASME standards.
• Perform and document tolerance stack up calculations.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong experience in mechanical/structural design and drafting using SolidWorks.
• 4+ years of experience as a drafter using SolidWorks.
• Proficiency with P6 or MS Project.
• Experience using a PDM.
• Experience in DFM and DFA.
• Demonstrated experience with GD&T per ASME standards.
• Experience in mechanical and machine design.
• Ability to check fabrication drawings.

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical degree desired.
• Nuclear industry experience highly desired.
