Balfour Beaty has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Engineering Technician to join our growing team in Gray's
You will support the Digital Engineering Manager in delivering project requirements,
producing and maintaining accurate project information, and ensuring compliance
with project Digital Engineering standards and procedures.
You will be Responsible for creating, updating and maintaining accurate project information in the Common Data Environment.
What you'll be doing
- Produce and maintain 3D models and associated digital outputs following project standards.
- Provide support for model coordination, clash detection and design reviews.
- Assist in implementation of the Project Digital Engineering / Digital Execution Plan (BEP/DEP).
- Contribute to the setup, use and maintenance of the CDE.
- Support project teams and supply chain partners in the use of Digital Engineering tools and workflows.
- Carry out basic model/data validation and quality checks.
- Assist in the preparation of 3D model visualisations, reports and digital deliverables.
- Provide inputs to training/briefing materials for internal stakeholders
- Works well within a team
- Appreciation of ISO 19650
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic working knowledge (not just appreciation) of:
- Digital tools & workflows
- CDE environments
- Survey collection methods
- Coordination processes (3D/IDC/IDR)
- Project information model development
- 4D (appreciation level)
- 5D (appreciation level)
- Common coding
- Progressive Assurance
- BIM Framework standards
- Can do tasks with minimal supervision
