Product Designer

BetHog is a new crypto casino and sports betting product that brings the benefits of crypto to the betting landscape. Having launched in 2024, BetHog has exploded out of the gates and has quickly become one of the top crypto casinos in the space. The BetHog team has deep expertise in building sports applications (the BetHog founders were the founders of FanDuel).

The role.

We’re looking for a versatile product designer to help us design and deliver design work across a product and marketing. We pride ourselves on building a great experience and working well as a team to deliver the best solution possible for our users. You'll be an integral part in helping shape our vision and bringing it to reality.

Being involved at such an early stage in a startup’s life cycle means that we’re looking for a versatile designer that enjoys wearing many hats. The ideal candidate will have experience designing high quality web products, delivering marketing materials, and is willing to work on many design aspects at any one time. Ideally the candidate has worked closely with engineers on various teams and likes to help drive features from concept to completion.

You’ll be the second designer in our small team (team of 10 Product and Engineering) and you’ll be responsible for helping craft the vision and execution of an application that will be used daily.

Responsibilities:

• Go from mockups and ideas through to execution for our Web application (going from pencil sketches to delivering final assets)
• Design and craft features and games that form an elegant and delightful end-to-end experience
• Helping refine our visual & interactive design language across the application
• Working with the marketing team on creating high quality advertising assets
• Solicit feedback from everyone in the team and our users in a cohesive and executable manner (with lots of user testing along the way)
• Spending a lot of time sketching and in designing in Figma
• Helping develop the brand identity
• Working with new animation and designer tools, and have the ability to pick up new design tools quickly
• Work will compose of many design aspects, from UI, to marketing to animations

Requirements:

• Mulit-disciplinary design experience: strong visual design, UI, UX, graphic and motion design skills
• Ability and willingness to quickly learn and utilise new tools and technologies
• Ability to step outside your comfort zone and produce whatever is required to ship
• Ability to take on vague instruction and fully flesh out a design response
• Proficiency with Figma and other industry-standard design and prototyping tools
• Experience with or willingness to learn how to use and contribute to a Design System
• Experience in creating advertising assets
• Ability to create delightful animated interactions where necessary
• No ego - we work collaboratively, focusing not on being right but on finding the right solution, regardless of who the idea comes from
• Links to your previous work, prototypes, and your portfolio (shots on Dribble and Behance) are essential. A case study exploring the thinking behind some previous work is beneficial.
• Nice-to-have - Video editing and motion graphic production experience or willingness to learn
• Nice-to-have - An interest in game design and asset development
• Nice-to-have - Some familiarity with front-end implementation practices. We don’t expect you to be a fronted developer but a basic understanding of HTML & CSS is beneficial
