BettingJobs is partnering with a dynamic, medium-sized casino game studio to find a Game Artist who can own the art for every title from first concept to final build.
The studio focuses on quality over volume, producing fewer games with sharper briefs. It is a close-knit, international team built on innovation, trust and a genuine can-do culture.
The role
This is a rare hybrid position that combines strong 2D illustration and animation with the technical know-how to implement art in HTML-based games. You'll be the main point of contact for art on each production, working between game designers, developers and in-house and outsourced artists. The role would suit a fast, versatile slot artist who likes seeing projects through and wants real influence over the finished game. It is based in Malta, fully on-site at first, then hybrid with two to three days from home. Relocation support is available, and fully remote working is possible for experienced candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Design, rig and animate in-game characters, environments and effects
- Create motion content for promotional and in-game video
- Make sure all production artwork meets quality standards and technical requirements
- Act as the main point of contact for art assets, iterating closely with design and development
- Keep working files well organised so the team can collaborate easily
Requirements:
- 3-5 years' experience in illustration, graphic design and animation within iGaming, ideally on online slots
- Advanced Spine skills (rigging and character animation), plus Photoshop and After Effects
- A strong portfolio showing solid 2D foundations across a range of art styles
- A strong grasp of design principles, layout and colour theory
- Experience with batch processing and automation to streamline art workflows
- Confidence using AI image generation tools and responding to art direction
- Nice to have: 3ds Max or other 3D software, and typography or UI/UX skills
