Job Summary
The Creative Director is responsible for the final creative product of strategically grounded print, retail, digital and video projects and helps with their production. They work in conjunction with the lead client representative to ensure our concepts, copy and design meet the clients’ strategic goals. They will design, revise and proof their own design and written work when necessary and will also do this for the creative team they are managing, ensuring originality and appropriateness for the client’s brand. They will be the client-facing creative representative to most clients and new business prospects, so they must be very comfortable presenting and winning over a room. Additionally, they are responsible for the growth and development of the creative team’s copywriters, art directors and designers.

Creative Responsibilities
- Determines the final conceptual & aesthetic look and feel for a variety of integrated assignments, from social to digital to traditional marketing efforts, either through their own work or the management of their team of art directors, copywriters, and designers.
- Ensures our creative product continues to exceed expectations and therefore gets recognized
- Concepts and/or writes creative think pieces to help promote BC and our intellectual capital
- Leads the strategic creative concepts for clients and new business prospects
- Owns the creative vision of the brand’s identity across all channels
- Continues to evolve in the agency’s progressive creative thinking in collaboration with the SVP, Creative
- Maintains knowledge and dissemination of ongoing exploration of what is cutting edge in design and concepting in the industry
- Assists the Business Development department on creative think pieces, pitch development & process, and publicity for our creative product
Client Responsibilities
- Serves as the lead client-facing creative representative to most clients and new business prospects
- Leads the day to day creative/client leadership communications and objectives.
- Provides strong POV on all integrated work to all creative leaders and clients when necessary.
- Defends the ideas and executions with expertise, empathy and persuasiveness.
Qualifications:
Education, Experience and Certifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred.
- Portfolio or Ad School training a plus
- Minimum 10 years’ experience at an advertising agency (or equivalent) and at least 5 years’ experience managing a creative team
- Must possess excellent design or writing experience across a variety of integrated mediums, specifically tv/video, print, digital, shopper marketing and social media executions
