Brick is transforming how people interact with technology—helping people minimize distractions, reclaim focus, and live more intentionally. Our physical device and companion app turn smartphones from sources of distraction into tools for presence and productivity.
We’re on a mission to help people take back control of their time and attention so they can focus on what matters most—and we’re building a team of thoughtful, driven people to make that happen.
Job Summary / About the Role:
We’re hiring a Growth Designer to build the visual system behind Brick’s performance marketing. You’ll turn customer insight, industry research, and performance data into scroll-stopping ad creative. This is a fast-paced role; you will be responsible for producing a high volume of net-new and iterative content on a weekly cycle.
This is a marketing design role focused on brand storytelling, product launches, growth, and performance creative—not product or UI/UX design. You are the hands-on designer and systems builder for Growth Creative: concepting, art directing, designing, learning, and iterating.
You’ll report to the Head of Growth Creative and work closely with Paid Media, Brand, and Site. You’ll move between Figma, creative reviews, and the performance dashboard, accountable for both the quality of the work and what it does in-market.
What You’ll Own:
- Design best-in-class acquisition creative across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging channels, owning the loop from customer insight and concept through production, performance read, and iteration.
- Build and maintain Brick’s modular ad design system in Figma, including components, templates, shared libraries, and repeatable product, offer, proof, and CTA modules.
- Turn strong campaign ideas into production-ready creative matrices and meaningful variants across formats, audiences, placements, and stages of awareness.
- Bring brand and performance together in every asset. Start with a clear hypothesis and apply direct-response hierarchy, message-to-market match, mobile-first legibility, platform-native behavior, and a clear conversion path.
- Partner with the Growth Content Producer and external creators to turn photography, video, UGC, customer stories, and product footage into cohesive ad campaigns across static, motion, and carousel concepts.
- Take a creative strategy brief and own production through delivery: clarify requirements, manage versions, maintain clean files and libraries, prepare channel-ready exports, and quality-check every asset.
- Partner with the Site team to translate ad-performance insights into CRO hypotheses, helping create a cohesive journey from first impression through conversion.
- Use AI and emerging creative tools to accelerate exploration and production without sacrificing originality, accuracy, taste, or Brick’s voice.
- You have 3–5 years of experience in growth, marketing, brand, or performance design at a consumer brand, startup, or creative agency—or a body of work that proves equivalent ability.
- Your portfolio includes high-performing paid social and multi-channel campaigns, and you can explain the insight, hypothesis, design choices, result, and lesson behind the work. Direct-response and performance best practices are second nature.
- You have expert-level command of Figma (including components, Auto Layout, variables, and shared libraries), Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- You bring exceptional typography, layout, color, visual hierarchy, art direction, and storytelling across static, light-motion, and multi-frame formats.
- You understand that successful ad creative depends on meaningful variety and disciplined testing—and that Meta Andromeda has changed the way creative is developed, diversified, and optimized.
- You can clearly explain your decisions, give and receive direct feedback, and collaborate closely with strategists, media buyers, producers, and creators.
- You’re a high-output, low-ego owner who moves quickly, manages multiple workstreams, brings solutions before a brief is perfect, and cares deeply about Brick’s mission.
- Nice to Have:
- Experience with consumer hardware, wellness, mobile apps, subscriptions, or creator-led DTC brands.
- You have motion-design and editing skills in After Effects and Premiere Pro.
- You’re comfortable reading creative performance data—including spend, CTR, CPC, CPA, CVR, hook rate, and hold rate—and turn the “why” behind wins and losses into the next round of design, and recommending what to test next.
