We are now hiring an In-House Web Designer to take ownership of the design, performance and user experience across 20+ live and upcoming websites, including:

The Role

This is a senior, hands-on role combining UI/UX design, front-end execution, and SEO-aware web delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring every CBM site is clean, fast, responsive, accessible, and built to perform in search.

You will work closely with editorial, SEO, commercial and leadership teams, acting as the guardian of CBM’s digital design standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and maintaining responsive, brand-led websites across multiple titles
• Improving UX, Core Web Vitals, accessibility and engagement metrics
• Implementing SEO-aligned design decisions (structure, internal linking, templates)
• Managing front-end development within WordPress-based environments
• Creating reusable design systems and UI components
• Supporting new site launches and platform migrations

What We’re Looking For

• Strong portfolio demonstrating modern web design and UX thinking
• Solid front-end capability (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Experience designing at scale across multiple websites
• Clear understanding of SEO, performance optimisation and accessibility
• Confident stakeholder communication and prioritisation skills
