Senior UX Designer (Contract)

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior UX Designer for a 12-month fixed-term contract to join their highly experienced design team. You will focus on a complex B2B SaaS platform, simplifying intricate workflows and exploring the integration of AI-powered features. This role requires an expert-level proficiency in Figma and a proven track record of delivering user-centred designs within an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and iterate on complex B2B SaaS platform features, moving from research and discovery to high-fidelity interactive prototypes.
• Contribute to and maintain a scalable design system, ensuring consistency and accessibility across the product suite.
• Lead the exploration and implementation of AI-driven product features and intelligent automation interfaces.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to deliver user-centric solutions that meet technical constraints.
• Document full design processes, including information architecture, user flows, and wireframes, while incorporating user testing insights.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional UX/UI design experience, specifically within B2B SaaS or enterprise software environments.
• Expert-level Figma proficiency, including advanced features like variables, auto-layout, and component libraries.
• Demonstrable experience with AI/ML-driven interfaces or a strong commitment to learning AI UX principles.
• Strong portfolio showcasing the full design process (not just final UI) with case studies from 2022 onwards.
• Proven ability to work as an individual contributor within a collaborative, remote, agile team.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and GDS (Government Digital Service) principles.
• Experience with data visualisation, dashboard design, and complex multi-system platforms.
• Basic understanding of front-end development (HTML/CSS/React) to better collaborate with engineering teams.
