Freelance Web Designer

We are soliciting fixed-price bids for a complete website rebuild on our existing WordPress foundation. This is a demolition-and-rebuild — not a platform migration. The platform stays WordPress (Uncode theme,

WPBakery page builder). Everything else is being replaced.

The full site architecture — every page, its purpose, and its primary audience — is defined in the

accompanying Architecture Brief. The site flowchart is also enclosed. Please review both documents

before submitting a bid.

WHAT WE ARE ASKING FOR

• Design and build — one vendor, full project

• Fixed total project price — design through launch, one number

• Ongoing maintenance included as a line item

• Mobile-responsive across all pages and devices

• Live, fully launched site as the final deliverable

WHAT WE ARE PROVIDING

• Complete site architecture (enclosed)

• Brand language document — mission, taglines, audience headlines (available on request)

• Homepage copy, finalized (available on request)

• All remaining page copy, provided in full as design progresses

• All logos, program photography, and media assets. Stock photography will be sourced by the vendor

as needed — please include stock costs either within your total project price or as a separate line item

billed at cost

Qualifications

• Strong Web Design skills, including layout, typography, color theory, and user-centered design.
• Graphic Design and Graphics expertise for creating icons, banners, and other visual assets.
• Front-End Development capabilities to collaborate effectively on HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript implementation.
• Responsive Web Design experience to ensure optimal performance across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Understanding of accessibility best practices and cross-browser compatibility.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions.
• Prior experience designing websites or web applications for diverse clients or brands; a portfolio demonstrating relevant work is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
