A leading cloud consultancy is seeking a hands‑on Software Development Manager to help deliver modern, cloud‑based applications for public and private sector clients as part of their digital transformation programmes.

This is an opportunity to combine technical depth with team leadership, remaining actively involved in development while shaping engineering standards, driving innovation, and guiding a small team of PHP‑focused developers.

You will spend around 60–70% of your time contributing directly to the codebase, ensuring high‑quality delivery and setting the technical benchmark for the team. Alongside this, you will take responsibility for a small development group, providing coaching, conducting 1:1s, managing performance, and carrying out code reviews. The role suits someone who enjoys leading by example and influencing technical direction through hands‑on involvement.
