Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Pool Designer at CPS Outdoors. The Pool Designer will collaborate with clients, architects, developers, and internal teams to design custom pools, spas, and integrated outdoor aquatic environments that align with project goals, site conditions, and budget. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing conceptual layouts, preparing detailed design drawings, and producing 2D plans and 3D visualizations to communicate design intent. The role involves reviewing site surveys, grading plans, and architectural drawings to ensure feasibility, code compliance, and structural coordination. The Pool Designer will also prepare design presentations, revise plans based on feedback, coordinate with engineering and construction teams, and support project documentation through design development and pre-construction.

Qualifications

• Pool and aquatic design skills, including experience designing custom pools, spas, water features, and integrated outdoor environments.
• Proficiency with CAD and 3D design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, or similar) for plan development and visualizations.
• Strong spatial planning, site analysis, and technical drawing abilities, including reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and civil plans.
• Knowledge of pool construction methods, materials, equipment, hydraulics, and relevant building codes or industry standards.
• Experience preparing design presentations, renderings, and concept boards for clients and project partners.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain design decisions clearly in a remote environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple active projects and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
