Overview
Our client in the cannabis industry is seeking an experienced Digital Designer with strong production capabilities to join their team on a freelance basis through the end of the year, 40 hours per week, fully remote, with the potential for a full-time opportunity. This role is ideal for a designer who can jump in quickly, work independently with minimal ramp-up, and deliver polished, conceptually strong creative across digital, social, e-commerce, and promotional channels. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in CPG and/or retail design, experience working on promotional campaigns, a clean and modern aesthetic, and experience creating high-volume creative assets while maintaining brand consistency. Must be ok with OT (5-10 hours per week) and be available to work a CST or EST schedule.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce digital marketing assets from concept through final production
- Create visually compelling creative with strong hierarchy, typography, and layout execution
- Develop and version assets across multiple formats and channels
- Support digital campaigns, social media content, e-commerce initiatives, email and promotional creative
- Ensure all deliverables meet brand standards, technical requirements, and production specifications
- Work within established brand systems while bringing fresh creative thinking to projects
- Collaborate with internal teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Prepare final files and production-ready deliverables for deployment
Requirements:
- Strong digital design and production experience
- Portfolio showcasing CPG and/or retail brand work
- Experience creating digital campaigns, social content, e-commerce assets, and promotional materials
- Exceptional typography, layout, and visual design skills
- Ability to work within established brand guidelines while elevating creative execution
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially PhotoShop
- Experience preparing production-ready files and handling versioning across deliverables
- Ability to work quickly and independently with minimal direction
- Strong working knowledge of Figma (the team will be transitioning to Figma in the near future)
- Cannabis industry experience or familiarity is a plus not a must
- Must have your own laptop/equipment
