ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an agile and creative Graphic Designer to join our team immediately. We are launching a new digital community platform and need a visual storyteller who can hit the ground running.
We need this role filled fast. We are looking for someone who can move from concept to final export quickly without sacrificing quality. You will be responsible for defining the visual "vibe" of our new platform and ensuring every touchpoint (from mobile screens to Instagram stories) looks cohesive and engaging.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOUR PORTFOLIOPlease Read Carefully: To ensure a quick hiring process, we are only reviewing portfolios that are directly related to this scope of work.
Do not send: Generic illustration portfolios, fine art, or purely print-based work. We want to see:
- UI/UX & Web Assets: Examples of banners, buttons, and layout designs for mobile and web apps. Show us you understand how design works on a screen.
- Campaign Rollouts: Projects where you designed a suite of assets (social posts, email headers, landing pages) that all share a consistent visual theme.
- Brand Identity: Mood boards or style guides you have created that demonstrate your ability to build a "look and feel" from scratch.
- Information Design: Examples of turning complex information into easy-to-read infographics or visual slides.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Rapid Concept Development: Develop mood boards and visual concepts for the new digital platform within the first week of arrival.
- Digital Asset Creation: Design high-quality graphics for the user interface (UI) to improve navigation and user experience.
- Marketing Collateral: Produce a high volume of promotional materials for our launch campaign, including social media tiles (Instagram/LinkedIn), email newsletter templates, and digital signage.
- Responsiveness: Ensure all visual assets are optimized for mobile devices and meet accessibility standards (e.g., color contrast and readability).
- Collaboration: Work closely with the content team and web developers to ensure your designs are feasible and implemented correctly.
KEY CAPABILITIES
- Speed & Efficiency: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are tight. You are comfortable iterating designs quickly based on feedback.
- Digital Fluency: Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with UI tools like Figma or Canva for rapid prototyping.
- User-Centric Mindset: You design with the end-user in mind, ensuring graphics are not just pretty, but functional and easy to understand.
- Visual Consistency: A strong eye for detail to ensure fonts, colors, and imagery remain consistent across different platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or extensive equivalent experience.
