Product Designer (Autodesk) | Remote

Position: Autodesk Inventor Expert

Type: Expert

Compensation: $20 - $115/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and optimize 3D models and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor for manufacturing and product development
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate design concepts into detailed technical drawings and prototypes
• Analyze design challenges and proactively recommend solutions to enhance functionality and efficiency
• Ensure all design documentation and schematics meet industry standards and project specifications
• Provide mentorship and technical support to peers and junior designers within the team
• Participate in design reviews, offering constructive feedback and ensuring project alignment with business goals
• Maintain clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication throughout all project phases

Requirements

• Expert proficiency in Autodesk Inventor for 3D modeling, assembly, and detailed drawing production
• Experience in engineering or product design environments with a strong project portfolio
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, tolerances, and materials
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote work setting
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to technical challenges
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional and remote teams
• Certification in Autodesk Inventor or related CAD software
• Background in mechanical, industrial, or product design engineering
• Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems and digital workflow optimization
