Title: Designer

Duration: 6 Month Contract

Start Date: ASAP

Job Description:

Our client, a leader in FinTech, is looking for a skilled Designer to join their team for a 6-month engagement. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Reporting to a Creative Director on our internal design team, a contract Designer is responsible for bringing the brand to life in various marketing assets, by utilizing the brand design system, including brand guidelines, style guides, and templates, to deliver high-bar design across digital campaigns, collateral, email marketing, event signage, swag, and more.

A Designer uses multiple creative and project management tools (Figma, Slack, Asana, misc. AI tools) to deliver high-bar design for predictable and/or repeated projects with general guidance from a creative lead, and more detailed instructions for new or complex projects. They seek necessary information from their creative leads and/or project managers, and propose potential design approaches in line with brand guidelines, and logical steps for achieving results. Additionally, Designers proactively analyze work methods and manage their own workflows to consistently deliver error-free, on-time work.

A Designer is an integral part of the Creative Studio team who collaborates closely with other creative disciplines, and across the Marketing org to develop impactful work which delivers strong business outcomes. They actively contribute to a culture of creative excellence, building productive relationships with peers, seeking opportunities to understand and share design trends and best practices, and proactively working to understand the roadmaps and objectives of the broader Marketing organization and company.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Work mostly independently through fast-paced creative workflows to deliver high-bar and impactful creative marketing assets, while balancing strategic inputs and technical constraints
  • Work with PM’s and creative leads to understand strategic creative briefs and/or design tickets, evaluating and proposing design solutions and iterating in response to stakeholder feedback before finalizing and delivering creative assets
  • Clearly and succinctly present creative work and logic to stakeholders across Marketing and other organizations, tailoring communication to the audience and explaining technical issues in a way that is easy to understand.
  • Seek and maintain up-to-date expertise and creative best-practices.
  • Flag potential bottlenecks and roadblocks, and communicate project status with Project Managers regularly
  • Maintain relationships with peers and common business partners, encouraging trust and positive collaboration
  • Continually elevate personal creative bar and output, indirectly elevating creative bar of the team
