_Our client in the wellness space is hiring a eComm Marketplace Marketing Manager!_About the Role
We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-obsessed, and analytically minded marketer to own and elevate our company's marketplace performance across Amazon and retailer.com partners. This person will sit at the intersection of marketing, eCommerce, and operations—ensuring our channels are optimized, our partners are held accountable, and our marketplace strategy is executed with speed and excellence.
This role fills two of the biggest gaps in our current marketplace program:
1. Day-to-day marketing and partner management that drives proactive
performance—not reactive execution.
2. Hands-on platform optimization to ensure our retailer.com and Amazon listings,
placements, and performance levers are world-class and continuously improving.
You’ll be the operational engine behind our marketplace execution and the strategic steward ensuring we’re not overpaying external partners for work we can manage more efficiently in-house. This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role working closely with Marketing, Brand, Operations, and external brokers/agencies.
Key Responsibilities1. Marketplace Marketing Strategy & Partner Management (Amazon + Retailer.com)
- Manage day-to-day relationships with our marketplace brokers and agencies, ensuring timely execution, clear follow-through, and performance accountability.
- Act as the internal point of contact for evergreen marketplace partners—tracking deliverables, identifying performance gaps, and escalating opportunities.
- Reduce reliance on external partners by bringing proactive marketing ownership and hands-on campaign management in-house.
- Collaborate with marketing leadership on strategic budgeting, investment decisions, and broader channel opportunities.
- Co-own Amazon channel marketing strategy in partnership with Marketing leadership.
- Ensure that partner delays or missed tasks never block performance progress—driving speed, clarity, and operational excellence.
2. Platform Management & OptimizationAmazon
- Work with the Operations and Marketing teams to manage day-to-day listing updates, optimizations, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and run testing programs for titles, bullets, A+ content, storefront updates, imagery, and conversion-driving assets.
- Partner with Brand/Design to build new assets for ongoing optimization.
- Support selection of a tool like Quartile to fully in-house Amazon advertising. Own onboarding, setup, and ongoing management—or oversee the Managed Services option as a lower-cost agency alternative.
- Own/coordinate SAS relationship management and urgent fire-drill support.
Retailer.com (Walmart, Target.com, Kroger, etc.)
- Overhaul and optimize listings and placements—ensuring accurate content, improved discoverability, and strong conversion.
- Manage testing roadmap with design/brand for assets (imagery, videos, banners, alt text, etc.).
- Partner with brokers to understand costing, margin structures, and upsides—working toward improved in-house visibility and operational control.
- Build a clearer internal model for costing, buy-plans, and marketplace P&L impacts.
3. Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze marketplace performance data to uncover actionable insights across traffic, conversion, content effectiveness, search placement, and paid efficiency.
- Create recurring reporting structures for Marketing, Ops, and Leadership.
- Recommend and implement changes to accelerate growth, reduce unnecessary costs, and improve partner ROI.
4. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Marketing, Brand, Operations, Finance, and Customer Experience to ensure marketplace programs run smoothly.
- Coordinate asset requests with Design and Brand to support optimizations and testing.
- Ensure new product launches and promotional moments are flawlessly executed across all marketplace partners.
- Own the marketing calendar for retailer.com and Amazon.
Who You Are
- 2+ years of experience in eCommerce, marketplace marketing, digital marketing, or CPG operations (Amazon experience required).
- Hands-on experience managing Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central; Walmart.com; Target.com; Costco.com and similar partners.
- Proven track record optimizing marketplace content, improving conversion, and managing partners or agencies.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into clear actions.
- Highly organized with exceptional follow-up and project management skills.
- Comfortable owning day-to-day execution and long-term strategic initiatives simultaneously.
