The role
We’re looking for a Mid–Senior UX/UI Designer to join our growing team and lead the design of high-quality modern website experiences. This is a hands-on design role focused on crafting engaging, accessible and conversion-focused websites that deliver clear outcomes. You will lead design work across the full experience lifecycle, from discovery and information architecture through to high-fidelity responsive design ready for development.
You will work closely with clients and our internal team to translate user insight, analytics and business goals into intuitive digital experiences that balance user needs with organisational objectives.
This role requires someone with strong UX fundamentals and exceptional visual design craft, with the confidence to lead projects with autonomy and elevate the quality of our website and user interface design.
_Important: This role focuses primarily on content-rich websites and CMS-driven digital platforms. If your experience is primarily in the design of native mobile apps, dashboards or SaaS products, this role is unlikely to be the right fit._What you’ll do
- Design beautiful, modern and engaging responsive website experiences.
- Deliver high-fidelity UI designs in Figma, including scalable components, design systems and interaction patterns.
- Translate research insights, data and best practice into information architecture, user journeys, wireframes and prototypes.
- Design experiences that improve engagement, task completion and conversion.
- Run discovery workshops and collaborate with stakeholders to shape experience strategy and design direction.
- Work closely with developers to ensure designs are technically feasible, scalable and aligned with CMS or commerce platforms.
- Present design work confidently to clients and guide decision-making through clear rationale and evidence.
- Champion accessibility and inclusive design, ensuring work aligns with WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams including developers, strategists and researchers throughout the design and delivery process.
What we’re looking forExperience
- Proven digital agency experience designing large websites and associated digital services.
- Experience leading the design of content-heavy websites on enterprise CMS or composable platforms.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality modern website UX and UI design work.
- Experience presenting work to clients and leading design conversations with stakeholders.
- Comfortable working across multiple projects in a fast-paced agency environment.
UX and design thinking
- Strong UX skills including information architecture, user journeys, wireframing and prototyping.
- Ability to translate user insight, analytics and business goals into effective design solutions.
- Understanding of conversion-focused design and how digital experiences support engagement and business outcomes.
- Skilled in content design, structuring content and interface patterns to improve clarity and usability.
UI craft
- Exceptional visual design craft with strong attention to typography, spacing, layout rhythm and hierarchy.
- Ability to create engaging, modern web interfaces that feel cohesive and polished.
- Experience building and maintaining scalable design systems and component libraries.
Tools and technical understanding
- Expert Figma skills including the use of variables, component properties and auto layout
- Understanding of how designs translate into code through design tokens, structured components and developer handoff.
- Experience designing for CMS and composable platforms such as Optimizely, Umbraco, Storyblok or similar.
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards.
Mindset
- Agency mindset: comfortable working across multiple projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Curious and proactive with a strong interest in improving design craft and user experience outcomes.
- Interest in how emerging AI tools may support design workflows, research and interface design processes.
