Creative eCommerce & Gamification Pod to grow digital and merchandise revenue. Work with designers and developer teams to build ethical, habit‑based products that support sustainable funding for wellbeing programmes. What difference will you make?
- Builds sustainable revenue streams This role helps eduSOIL reduce dependence on short‑term grants by developing revenue through the app and merchandise shop. By creating digital experiences that connect to physical products, the organisation can generate ongoing income to support youth wellbeing initiatives.
- Turns wellbeing into daily habits Through gamification features such as daily streaks, rewards, and reflection activities, the Product Lead helps users build consistent wellbeing practices. This strengthens the mission of helping young people develop positive habits for mental and emotional health.
- Connects digital creativity with physical products The role oversees the integration of the Avatar Creator with Print‑on‑Demand services, allowing users to turn their creative avatars into real merchandise like superhero T‑shirts. This creates meaningful keepsakes that reinforce personal identity, creativity, and engagement with the platform.
- Improves user experience and product adoption By leading designers, illustrators, and eCommerce specialists, the Product Lead ensures the apps and online stores are intuitive, engaging, and easy to use. Better design and user journeys increase participation, retention, and customer satisfaction.
- Validates the Direct‑to‑Consumer model Campaigns such as the “First 100 Superhero” help test demand for the platform’s products and services. This allows the organisation to learn quickly, refine its approach, and build a scalable model for mission‑aligned commerce.
- Strengthens collaboration across teams The role bridges product development, eCommerce operations, and marketing. By coordinating these teams, the Product Lead ensures that the app experience, online store, and checkout systems work smoothly together, improving conversion rates and operational efficiency.
- Supports long‑term social impact By creating a financially sustainable ecosystem of apps and merchandise, this role helps fund eduSOIL’s global youth wellbeing programs. The revenue generated enables the organisation to expand its impact while maintaining ethical and mission‑driven monetisation.

Brief Experience The volunteer should understand how digital products are planned and improved over time, helping guide the development of the Nature Mandala App and the Avatar Creator ecosystem.

- Understanding of Gamification or User Behaviour
- Interest in habit‑building, gamification, or behaviour design.
- Ability to think about how users stay motivated through rewards, streaks, and progress tracking.
Brief Experience The volunteer should be curious about how apps encourage daily engagement and help users build consistent wellbeing habits.
- eCommerce or Digital Business Awareness
- Familiarity with online stores, digital products, or Direct‑to‑Consumer (DTC) models.
- Basic understanding of Shopify, WooCommerce, or Print‑on‑Demand services is helpful but not required.
Brief Experience Experience with eCommerce platforms or digital marketplaces will help the volunteer understand how the Avatar Creator connects to merchandise production and sales.

- Lead the Creative eCommerce Pod Coordinate and guide a small cross‑functional team of UI/UX designers, illustrators etc to ensure the product vision is delivered effectively.
- Define Product Strategy Develop and communicate the strategic direction for yoga/nature focussed app and personalised print-on-demand shop to ensure both products support user wellbeing and sustainable revenue generation.
- Design Gamification Systems Create and refine habit‑building features such as daily streaks, rewards and engagement loops that encourage consistent use of the yoga/nature focussed app
- Oversee Product Development Work collaboratively with designers and developers to translate ideas into clear product features, ensuring the digital experience remains intuitive and aligned with the brand mission.
- Manage eCommerce Integration Support the connection between customisation feature and Print‑on‑Demand services to enable smooth ordering and delivery of personalised merchandise.
- Launch and Test Go‑to‑Market Campaigns Lead initiatives such as the “First 100 Superhero” campaign to validate the direct‑to‑consumer model and test early user engagement.
- Optimise Customer Journey Work with team to improve checkout flow, reduce friction and increase conversion rates across edusoil.com and metimemandala.com.
- Monitor Product Performance Track engagement metrics, user feedback and sales insights to inform product improvements and future feature development.
- Ensure Brand and Ethical Alignment Ensure all products and campaigns reflect eduSOIL’s values of ethical storytelling, youth empowerment and wellbeing‑centred design.
- Collaborate Across Teams Work closely with marketing, design and programme teams to ensure the product ecosystem supports both community impact and organisational sustainability.
