Product Design Lead (Remote, CET ±2) – AnonymousThis is a senior, player‑coach role. You’ll build design culture from scratch, lead a small team (2‑3 designers), and still ship high‑quality work on complex AI‑powered features.

Location: Remote within CET ±2 hours (e.g., Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Benelux, Denmark, Sweden, Norway)
Language: German fluent (written + spoken) – non‑negotiable
Compensation: €120,000 – €130,000 + equity
Reporting to: Head of Product
Team: Will hire and manage 2‑3 product designers (first design leader in the company)
Split: ~70% leadership (hiring, mentoring, process, culture) / ~30% hands‑on design (Figma, complex workflows)
What you’ll do
- Lead & build – Define design principles, hire your team, run design critiques, and establish a user‑centred culture.
- Stay hands‑on – Take ownership of the most complex, high‑impact design challenges (multi‑step B2B SaaS workflows, AI‑first interactions).
- Shape an AI product – Work closely with product and engineering on conversational AI and voice‑assisted features for professional users (legal / compliance domain – but you don’t need a law degree).
- Drive craft – Deliver clean UI, thoughtful interaction patterns, and measurable improvements (quantitative analytics + user research).
- Collaborate – Partner with the Head of Product (Hanh) and a cross‑functional team in a fast‑moving, remote‑first startup.
Who you areMust‑haves (screen will check these):
- Fluent German – you can run interviews, write UI copy, and collaborate internally in German.
- 5+ years of product design experience + 2+ years in a lead capacity (mentoring, project leadership, or direct management).
- A portfolio showing complex, multi‑step B2B SaaS workflows and clean, functional UI.
- Experience designing for AI products – especially conversational AI, voice interfaces, or agentic UX (e.g., LLM‑powered features, chatbots, voice assistants).
- High proficiency in Figma + experience using quantitative analytics (e.g., Pendo, Amplitude, Mixpanel) to drive design decisions.
Nice to have (not required):
- Background in legal tech, compliance, or regulated B2B software.
- Experience as a Staff / Principal Designer looking to step into a people leadership role.
- Early‑stage startup experience (team <50 people).
