Field Process Engineer – Water Treatment (Remote)
Evoqua, a Xylem brand, is seeking a skilled Field Process Engineer – Water Treatment to join our Industrial Projects team. In this role, you will lead on-site technical and operational support for the design, installation, and commissioning of industrial process and wastewater systems.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot complex systems and equipment; provide technical input on system improvements.
- Conduct site surveys and field trials to support installation and design planning.
- Lead maintenance efforts for tools, test equipment, and calibration devices.
- Train service team members and customers on advanced equipment operations.
- Prepare detailed reports on system performance and site activities.
- Review and develop process documentation and operational manuals.
- Travel up to 85%, including domestic and international assignments. "Weekdays"
🎓 Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in water treatment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge (pumps, valves, process piping).
- Experience with PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens).
- Proven project management or technical leadership experience.
- Proficient in MS Office and Windows environments.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks (kneeling, climbing, etc.).
🧠 Preferred Skills & Knowledge
- Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) is a plus.
- Familiarity with hazardous materials and chemicals in water treatment.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and technical drawings.
- Understanding of process chemistry and analytical metrology.
- Experience working with low-voltage systems (24VDC to 480VAC).
- Knowledge of safety protocols: hazardous energy, chemical hygiene, fall protection, etc.
- Strong communication, time management, and customer service skills.
The estimated salary range for this position is $72,300.00 to $130,100.00 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
