We're strengthening our core service offerings at Filter and are looking for an exceptional individual to lead and grow our SEO and Paid Media capabilities.
We are looking for a talented and experienced Head of SEO and Paid Media to deliver hands-on expertise and strategic direction for our clients, driving organic growth, paid media performance, and measurable business impact.
You'll personally execute and oversee both organic SEO strategies and paid media campaigns, using data-led insights and performance-driven tactics to accelerate client success and deliver high-impact results. As we grow, you'll build and mentor a team to expand these core Filter services.
This is a permanent, full-time role. Remote-first. UK-based.
Key Responsibilities
We'd expect you to take on the following:
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive SEO strategies for our clients, including technical SEO, content optimization, and link building
- Manage paid media campaigns across various platforms (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, etc.) with hands-on implementation and optimization
- Conduct thorough SEO audits and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for organic growth
- Develop and implement data-driven PPC strategies that maximize ROI for our clients
- Create and optimize landing pages to improve conversion rates
- Stay current with industry trends, algorithm updates, and platform changes
- Manage client relationships and effectively communicate performance results and strategic recommendations
- Work collaboratively with our web development, design, and content teams to ensure integrated digital strategies
- Gradually build and mentor a team of SEO and paid media specialists as the service area grows
- Set KPIs and report on performance metrics to demonstrate value and ROI to clients
Requirements & Skills
The right person is likely to have:
- 5+ years of experience in SEO and paid media management, with demonstrable success in improving organic rankings and managing profitable paid campaigns
- Strong hands-on technical knowledge of SEO best practices, including experience with tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console
- Proven expertise in managing paid campaigns across multiple platforms with substantial budget responsibility
- Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Data Studio, and tag management systems
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
- Excellent client communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Team leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members
- Experience working with mid-market and enterprise businesses
- Certification in Google Ads, Google Analytics, and other relevant platforms (preferred)
