Location: Remote with travel to our Manchester office for socials, workshops etc.

Hours: Full time around our core hours (10am - 4pm)

Salary: £65,000 per annum, with some flexibility depending on experience

About the role:

As a senior developer, you will be joining our international development team, reporting to the development team lead. You will be working alongside our team of full stack developers, taking a forward role in creating new features across our broad product range, as well as working to define and create new, exciting products for our clients.

You'll be expected to work with a range of technologies including .NET Core, ASP.NET, React, JavaScript, Azure (amongst many others) and have the opportunity to learn new skills and teach your knowledge to others as you progress.

Your responsibilities:

• Build new and existing features for our diverse client base
• Identifying and suggest upon key areas of improvement throughout the systems
• Lead and support development of existing and new projects
• Mentor and train the teammates on best practices and help them move forward in their careers

Your expertise:

• At least 5 years’ commercial experience
• Deep and thorough knowledge of and development experience within Microsoft technologies including but not limited to .NET Core, ASP.NET (Core) MVC, LINQ, Entity Framework, Windows Console/Service Applications as well as knowledge and experience of other web languages and technologies including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap
• Proven and demonstrable knowledge of SQL and Database Design
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
• Proven experience in designing and consuming Web APIs
• Ability to translate client and stakeholder requirements into technical specifications
• Experience of managing a small team and software development lifecycle
• Ability to take charge of multiple projects and manage projects from design to delivery alongside the ability to manage time and work to strict deadlines, adapting to a fast-paced environment and able to solve complex tasks under pressure
• In depth understanding of clean code approaches, design patterns and SOLID principles
• Excellent communication skills, a keen eye for and attention to detail, an analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude with strong organisational skills

It would be desirable if you have:

• Demonstrable evidence of personal learning and development (Github / Gitlab, code samples, StackOverflow / community contributions etc)
• Experience of other front-end frameworks (Vue.js, Angular, Blazor, etc)
• Knowledge and experience of deploying to Azure cloud infrastructure using Azure DevOps
• Experience of (or desire to) develop for mobile devices (Xamarin Forms, Flutter, React Native etc)
• Experience of using front end CSS frameworks such as React and Tailwind
• Experience of defining CI/CD Pipelines in Azure Devops
• Experience of writing code in a TDD/BDD manner
• Understanding of best modern security practices.
• Worked in or have knowledge of the Recruitment / Finance / Payroll / Accounting sector
