The Opportunity: Design the Face of "Digital Truth"
Flawless Match Inc. is not just a beauty app; we are an R&D Laboratory for Computer Vision and Augmented Reality. We are digitizing the physics of perception to create the "Universal Beauty Utility"—a brand-agnostic engine that matches cosmetics, skincare, and fashion with scientific precision.
We have the "Seal Team" of Scientists (PhDs in AI/AR) and the Expert Builder (Principal Unity Architect) who builds the engine. Now, we need the Expert Artist to fill that engine with hyper-realistic digital assets.
We are looking for our Founding AR Designer. You will single-handedly define and create the visual assets for our multi-vertical roadmap, spanning Cosmetics, Skincare, Fashion, Paint, and Medical visualization.
The Role: The Digital Asset Expert
You are the visual translator. Your mandate is to create the 3D models, textures, and UI elements that turn our raw tracking data into an enamourating user experience. You don't just draw makeup; you understand the physics of light, texture, and material properties (PBR) to ensure a digital lipstick looks indistinguishable from the real thing.
Lean Tooling Strategy:
As a bootstrapped R&D Lab, we operate with extreme efficiency. Initially, you will utilize professional open-source software (e.g., Blender, GIMP, Inkscape) to build our MVP assets. Once we hit our revenue milestones, we will invest in enterprise-grade seats (Maya, Substance, Adobe Creative Cloud) to expand your toolkit. We need an artist whose skill lies in their hand and eye, not just in expensive plugins.
Key Responsibilities:
- 3D Asset Creation: Model and texture low-poly 3D assets for AR visualization (e.g., eyelashes, jewelry, accessories) using Blender.
- Texture Expert: Create high-fidelity PBR texture maps (Albedo, Normal, Roughness, Metallic) for cosmetics—differentiating between a "matte velvet" lipstick and a "high-gloss" lacquer.
- UI/UX Design: Design the 2D overlays and user interface elements that guide the user through the scan and try-on process.
- Pipeline Ownership: Work directly with the Principal Unity Architect to export assets correctly for Unity, ensuring seamless integration into the mobile build.
- Multi-Vertical Vision: Start with Beauty (Makeup), then expand to Skincare (visualizing texture/hydration), Paint (wall textures), and Medical (dermatological visualizations).
The Deal: High Risk, High Reward
We believe in radical transparency. This is a Founding role, not a standard gig.
- Compensation Structure: This is an Equity-First position. There is NO Salary during the initial launch phase (Phase 1).
- Equity: You will be granted 1.0% Equity Ownership (Vesting: 4 years with a 1-year cliff).
- Phased Salary Roadmap: We value our team. Cash compensation unlocks based on clear revenue milestones (Projected Q2 2026):
- Phase 1 (Now): 100% Sweat Equity.
- Phase 2 ($155k MRR): 60% of Market Salary unlocks.
- Phase 3 ($200k MRR): 100% Full Market Salary unlocks (Target: ~$110,000/year).
The Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Financially Secure: You have a runway of 3–6 months to support yourself financially without a salary.
- Commitment: While the minimum requirement is 20 hours/week, the ideal candidate can dedicate Full-Time focus to ensure our Q1 launch success.
- Availability: You must be available for 3 Technical Standups per week: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM CST.Why Join Us?

Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in 3D Modeling & Texturing.
- Expert proficiency in Blender is required (as this will be your primary tool Day 1).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating Real-Time/Game Ready assets (Mobile optimization is key).
- Understanding of Unity asset pipelines (Prefabs, Materials, Import settings).
- Experience with UI/UX Design tools (Figma or open-source alternatives).
