About GLD
Founded in 2014 with just $1,000 and a vision, GLD set out to redefine the jewelry game. A decade later, we’ve become the largest and most recognizable brand in the space partnering with icons across music, sports, and culture. From the Super Bowl to the NBA, WNBA, MLB, NHL, and beyond, our pieces are worn by winners and designed for those who want to stand out. We’ve created some of the most legendary custom jewelry for global artists and athletes and continue to push the boundaries of innovation and design.
The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and creatively driven CAD Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll work directly with our in-house design team and founder to ideate and create innovative, production-ready jewelry designs that align with the GLD brand and inspire our customers worldwide.
You must have a passion for jewelry, a deep understanding of both aesthetic and technical design, and a drive to deliver excellence in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Responsibilities
• Design and develop original, high-impact jewelry pieces from concept to print-ready CAD models.
• Translate creative direction into 3D models using Rhino (required) and additional programs such as Matrix or JewelCAD.
• Collaborate closely with the founder, design, and production teams to align on creative vision, technical feasibility, and manufacturing requirements.
• Ensure all designs meet quality, functionality, and aesthetic standards.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• Create renders and visualizations as needed for internal review and marketing purposes.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in a professional jewelry design or CAD setting.
• Advanced proficiency in Rhino 3D (non-negotiable), with working knowledge of Matrix, JewelCAD, and Illustrator.
• Strong understanding of jewelry construction, production methods, and design best practices.
• Ability to create precise, manufacturable CAD files and visually compelling concepts.
• High level of artistry, taste, and a strong sense of style—especially within fashion-forward, hip hop, and luxury jewelry aesthetics.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to adapt to fast-evolving projects and priorities.
• Experience working on both branded lines and one-of-a-kind custom pieces is a plus.
What We’re Looking For
• A creative mind that lives and breathes design and innovation.
• A team player who thrives in a high-energy, collaborative, and growth-oriented culture.
• Someone who’s hungry to push boundaries and evolve their craft.
• Passion for streetwear, fashion, and jewelry is a must.
Please include examples of both commercial and custom jewelry work.
