Interaction Designer/Graphic Designer | Remote-Friendly | £60,000 - £72,000 We're working with an award-winning SME digital consultancy on this exciting opportunity to transform UK public services. This is a chance to use your Interaction Design skills to impact millions of lives by building accessible, user-centered digital products for high-profile government initiatives using Figma and GDS standards. As part of a high-performing Digital Capability team, you will bridge the gap between complex user needs and intuitive visual experiences. You will be instrumental in the Alpha and Private Beta phases of mission-critical services like the Government App & Wallet and cross-departmental benefit systems, ensuring every interaction is seamless, secure, and inclusive. The Role

• Lead the design of intuitive interaction flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes using Figma for complex public sector digital services.
• Create high-quality visual and graphic design assets that ensure consistency across the Government App, Digital Wallet, and Customer Account platforms.
• Translate complex user research and data insights into elegant, accessible interface designs that adhere to WCAG 2.2 standards.
• Collaborate daily within multidisciplinary Agile squads alongside Content Designers, User Researchers, and Developers to bring service patterns to life.
• Contribute to and evolve robust design systems to maintain visual integrity across multiple live digital products and service areas.

What You'll Need

• Proven experience as an Interaction Designer or Graphic Designer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating user-centred design (UCD) across digital products.
• Expert proficiency in Figma or similar prototyping tools to build everything from low-fi sketches to interactive, high-fidelity prototypes.
• Deep understanding of accessibility requirements and a track record of designing services that meet WCAG and inclusive design principles.
• Strong experience working within Agile methodologies and the ability to justify design decisions to diverse stakeholders and product managers.
• Familiarity with GDS (Government Digital Service) standards, design systems, and common service patterns is highly desirable.
