Description

Turning Point is a national health and social care organisation delivering person-centred support across mental health, learning disability, substance use, sexual health, and employment services. They are focused on building inclusive and accessible digital solutions that improve how people engage with their services.

They are now hiring a Digital Product Developer to join their growing digital product and experience function. This role will work closely with senior product and experience leads to design, build, and optimise solutions across three areas: websites, digital products such as wellbeing apps and user portals, and automation and process optimisation initiatives.

This role is fully remote, with occasional in-person collaboration in London or Manchester.

Responsibilities

As Digital Product Developer, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining solutions across websites, digital products, and automation tools
• Building front-end user experiences using modern frameworks such as React or Vue
• Contributing to back-end development using technologies such as Node.js, .NET, or Python
• Creating and enhancing automation solutions including chatbots, workflow tools, and intelligent forms
• Collaborating with product, design, content, and operational teams to deliver secure, accessible, high performing user experiences
• Implementing best practices in accessibility, SEO, performance, and user experience
• Supporting lifecycle management of digital products to ensure reliability and maintainability
• Contributing to technical standards, tooling, and architectural approaches within the digital team
• Encouraging experimentation, modern development practices, and continuous improvement

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a versatile full-stack developer who enjoys working across web development, integrations, and automation. Requirements include:

• Experience developing solutions across websites, digital products, or automation initiatives
• Strong front-end development skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, and modern frameworks such as React or Angular
• Foundational experience in back-end technologies such as Node.js, .NET, or Python
• Understanding of APIs, integrations, and web architecture
• Experience working with content management systems such as Kontent.ai
• Ability to implement automation using low-code or no-code tools, RPA platforms, or AI-enabled workflows
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams
• Understanding of accessibility, performance, privacy requirements, and secure development practices

Desirable experience includes mobile or hybrid app development, cloud platforms such as Azure, CI/CD pipelines, database management, and API development. However, Turning Point places strong value on problem solving, adaptability, and the ability to deliver high quality technical solutions.
