About The Role Hims & Hers is seeking an independent Senior Designer, Performance Video, to support our digital advertising efforts with high-quality performance video creative. This is a 1099 independent contractor role, with an expected engagement period through March 27, 2026, with the possibility of extension. The Senior Designer will be responsible for crafting storyboards, on-screen graphics, supers, and design frames that enhance clarity, impact, and visual consistency across paid channels such as YouTube, connected TV, and other performance platforms. The ideal candidate is self-directed, capable of managing their workflow independently, and delivering top-tier design assets within specified briefs and deadlines. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence our creative performance and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic alignment and creative excellence. Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in design or art direction for video, broadcast, or digital performance content
• Proficiency in creating dynamic supers and visual elements to enhance viewer engagement
• Strong command of typography, layout, composition, and motion principles
• In-depth experience with Adobe Creative Cloud suite and video production workflows
• Extensive knowledge of Figma and Frame.io platforms
• Ability to operate independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with producers, copywriters, editors, and motion artists

Responsibilities

• Create storyboards, design frames, supers, lower thirds, title cards, and graphic elements optimized for paid video platforms
• Translate visual concepts into motion direction for animators and editors through annotated frames and design systems
• Develop storyboard sequences from briefs and scripts, ensuring clarity, narrative flow, and performance outcomes
• Refine design work based on feedback, testing results, and performance insights to enhance engagement and conversions
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables align with strategic and channel-specific objectives
• Maintain high design standards across all creative outputs, emphasizing strong composition, typography, brand consistency, and visual clarity
