This role offers a creative and dynamic opportunity for a designer to bring a sports brand to life across apparel, accessories, and digital channels. You will craft original graphics for t-shirts, headwear, sideline apparel, and promotional content while collaborating closely with merchandise, marketing, and e-commerce teams. The ideal candidate will combine trend awareness in sports, culture, and lifestyle with strong technical design skills to create visuals that resonate with fans and athletes alike. You will play a key role in shaping brand storytelling, maintaining visual consistency, and elevating the overall customer experience. This position is remote, allowing for flexibility while engaging in projects that span multiple teams and platforms. The designer will also contribute to influencer kits, VIP gifting, and other special initiatives that enhance brand presence. Accountabilities:
- Design original graphics for seasonal and evergreen apparel collections across multiple sports
- Develop athlete illustrations and translate them into compelling merchandise designs
- Collaborate with merchandise and equipment teams to align apparel and accessories with brand identity and team needs
- Create digital assets for e-commerce, social media, and marketing campaigns, including banners, product mockups, and promotional visuals
- Maintain visual consistency across apparel, digital, and marketing executions while ensuring quality and production specifications are met
- Research trends in sports, fashion, and lifestyle to inspire innovative design that connects with fans and athletes
- Contribute to internal initiatives such as influencer kits, VIP gifting, and special projects to enhance brand storytelling
Requirements
- 4-6 years of professional experience in graphic design, preferably in apparel, fashion, lifestyle, or retail
- Strong portfolio demonstrating apparel graphics, digital content creation, and product applications
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify
- Understanding of production processes including screen printing and embroidery
- Ability to manage multiple projects, approvals, and deadlines using project management tools like Asana
- Strong trend awareness in sports, culture, and lifestyle, with the ability to translate insights into impactful designs
- Excellent time management, communication, and attention to detail
- Willingness to travel occasionally to league locations (approximately 1-2 times per season)
