As Lead Product Designer, you will define and champion the overarching user experience strategy across multiple product areas, driving transformative product-led growth. You will lead and mentor a team of designers, collaborating cross-functionally with product, engineering, research, and business leadership to solve complex, ambiguous problems. This role requires a visionary designer capable of shaping holistic user journeys, integrating AI and automation thoughtfully, and elevating design standards across all touchpoints. You will directly influence product roadmaps, organizational priorities, and the evolution of design systems, creating intuitive, high-impact solutions that enhance user engagement and business outcomes. Accountabilities
- Define and articulate the overall UX vision and design strategy across product portfolios to drive product-led growth and innovation
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of designers, fostering professional growth and maintaining design excellence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Research, and Content, to influence roadmaps and organizational priorities
- Establish and evolve design principles, standards, and systems to ensure cohesive and intuitive user experiences
- Drive the application of AI, automation, and generative design in user experiences, identifying opportunities for differentiation and efficiency
- Lead strategic user research initiatives, gathering insights to inform product and design decisions
- Ensure the highest quality design deliverables through feedback, iteration, and adherence to best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience (9+ years in UX/Product Design with 2+ years in a lead role)
- Proven leadership experience in managing design teams and shaping organizational design culture
- Strong portfolio demonstrating strategic impact, complex problem-solving, and contributions to product-wide design excellence
- Mastery of industry-standard design tools and methodologies; experience evaluating and adopting new tools
- Expertise in user research strategy, accessibility, usability, and ethical design principles
- Experience integrating AI/automation into product design, including generative tools and advanced workflows
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and executive-level influence skills
- Experience managing and evolving enterprise-level design systems for scalability and consistency
- Ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams while fostering collaboration and user-centered decision-making
- Preferred location: Austin, Texas
