We are looking for a driven Release Automation Engineer to join a team dedicated to streamlining and enhancing the release processes behind cutting-edge robotic software and web applications. In this role, you will design and optimize CI/CD pipelines, automate testing and deployment, and enable agile continuous releases across complex, hardware-integrated systems. Your work will ensure fast, safe, and scalable delivery while improving reliability in collaboration with quality automation engineers. This fully remote role within the EU offers the flexibility to work from your home country while engaging with a talented global team shaping the future of robotic technology. Accountabilities

  • Lead and refine software and system release processes, including versioning, QA coordination, and automation
  • Design and implement CI/CD tooling to automate testing, documentation, and deployment across robotics platforms and web applications
  • Build and maintain robust delivery pipelines to support fast and reliable software delivery
  • Define and enforce sign-off workflows, safety gates, and repository policies to ensure structured, repeatable releases
  • Coordinate release readiness across product, software, QA, systems, and operations teams
  • Collaborate with quality automation engineers to improve system reliability and test coverage
  • Serve as an example of effective remote collaboration and communication

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, or a related field
  • Proven experience building infrastructure for fast, safe, and scalable software development in robotics-like environments
  • Strong track record designing automation pipelines, test frameworks, and release workflows across hardware-integrated systems
  • Excellent proficiency in Python and experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or GitLab Pipelines
  • Strong focus on developer enablement, integration stability, and cross-team coordination
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of independently structuring work and delivering results
  • Solid understanding of diagnostics and stakeholder communication
  • Willingness to occasionally travel (2-3 weeks per year) to collaborate on-site with team members and users
  • Bonus: experience with OTA delivery pipelines, API-based automated reporting (GitHub, Jira, Zephyr, Slack, Snowflake), and configuration management in complex systems

Benefits

  • Fully remote position within the EU, offering flexibility and work-life balance
  • Competitive market salary aligned with experience and responsibilities
  • Dynamic, fast-growing environment with opportunities for international collaboration
  • Chance to contribute ideas and help shape innovative release processes
  • Be part of an ambitious, forward-thinking team at the forefront of industrial robotics
  • Occasional travel opportunities to collaborate in person with colleagues and users
