This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Software Engineer, QA in United States. This role offers the opportunity to lead and innovate within a dynamic QA team focused on improving the quality and stability of web applications. You will design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions across both frontend and backend systems, ensuring robust, reliable software delivery. The position allows you to collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to standardize testing procedures, migrate automation frameworks, and adopt new technologies. You will contribute to the growth of a high-performing team, working in an environment that encourages continuous improvement, creativity, and cross-functional collaboration. This is an impactful role for candidates passionate about automation, quality, and scalable software testing solutions. Accountabilities:

  • Lead testing efforts for Agile development teams, ensuring application stability and reliability
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites for frontend and backend components using Java and TypeScript
  • Migrate existing automation frameworks from Selenium to Playwright and improve overall test coverage
  • Collaborate with QA team members to standardize testing procedures and share best practices
  • Work closely with developers and product teams to understand testing requirements and provide timely feedback
  • Identify opportunities to improve QA processes, adopt new tools, and enhance automation efficiency
  • Support load, stress, and API testing to ensure high-quality software releases

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience on QA teams with strong focus on automation
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
  • Proficiency in Java and TypeScript; experience in developing full automation suites
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
  • Experience testing APIs through Postman or similar tools, and supporting frontend and backend testing
  • Knowledge of test management tools (e.g., TestRails, Xray, Qase) and Agile development practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to evolving environments
  • Enthusiasm for technology and commitment to continuous improvement in tools, processes, and team capabilities
