At Jumbo we want people to learn, have fun and be happy thanks to our amazing toys and games. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Design Specilist to join our dynamic team and make dreams come true.
The Design Specialist is part of the Product Development Team, and is responsible for the design of products within the assigned categories, taking into account timelines, feasibility, quality, and cost. Projects may involve the design of new products, the adaptation of existing products for distribution, or the redesign and improvement of existing products.
To achieve this goal, your functions will be the following:
- Manage the development of an assigned portfolio of projects, ensuring that all objectives are met in terms of timing, cost, quality, and feasibility, in collaboration with Project Coordinators and the Design Director.
- Develop new product proposals, managing the process from initial idea and concept through to production.
- Contribute to the creation of project specifications based on the approved concept and ensure they are kept up to date throughout the development process.
- Support the development of projects by identifying technical solutions and ensuring their feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Work closely with the Brand Team to ensure alignment between the initial briefing and the final product.
- Coordinate the localization of selected products into different languages.
- Prepare all graphic materials and artwork Prequired for production.
- Organize and maintain graphic content and generate the required assets once projects are finalized.
- University degree in Graphic Design (Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent diploma).
- +4 years of professional experience in a similar role, with solid understanding of the complete product development process, from preliminary concept stages through to production.
- Experience in product development involving cardboard, packaging, and printing processes. Industrial design knowledge would be an advantage.
- Proven ability to work effectively with deadlines and take responsibility for timely project delivery.
- Creative mindset, with the ability to generate new product ideas and contribute constructively to the ideas of others.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Advanced user of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as Microsoft Office.
